Community Partner Hub

We’re excited about your interest in our Commitment to Community Initiative!

We welcome area organizations with similar and complementary missions to that of the credit union to participate in our Commitment to Community Initiative! Community partnerships can be formed as general partnerships, grant-based partnerships, or a combination of both. Our partnership opportunities are not contractual and withdrawal can be done at any time by contacting the TN Members 1st marketing department at [email protected].

All partnerships are reviewed on a regular basis by the credit union leadership team and Board of Directors. Becoming a community partner with TN Members 1st does not guarantee a specific number or dollar amount of contributions from the credit union to the community partner each year.

We're thankful to partner with various community organizations to spread the 'People Helping People' mission outside of our branch walls and throughout the areas we serve by focusing on education, engagement, and growth opportunities.
  • Education: Providing information and resources from trusted community partners.
  • Engagement: Sharing information about and participating in opportunities to give back to the areas we serve.
  • Growth: Responsibly participating in CDFI grant opportunities to help cultivate a growing, healthy local economy.
General partnerships provide an ongoing opportunity for a referral-style presence on the TN Members 1st Commitment to Community webpage, found at mymembersfirst.org/community, along with regular promotion focused on educational information and engagement opportunities. In addition, community partners are included on the credit union’s list of preferred organizations for planned annual organizational giving.
As a CDFI credit union, TN Members 1st regularly applies for funding in the form of grants with the CDFI Fund to help cultivate a growing, healthy local economy. During this process, potential partners are identified and included in the grant application to strengthen the overall application and increase the chances of securing funding for our community. Our grant-based partners have no formal commitment or obligations if the credit union receives a grant. In the event a grant is funded, grant-based partners would be highlighted in a press release and digital communication opportunities. Grant initiatives and partner needs vary and may not be applicable to all partners during each application cycle. The credit union will provide general information and an application summary draft to assist potential partners in determining their support and inclusion in grant initiatives.

Prospective Community Partners can use this form to share their information and get the conversation started on partnership opportunities with TN Members 1st, while current Community Partners can use this form to update their information at any time. Contact our marketing department for more information about community partnerships and possibilities.

General Request Forms

Social Media Submission Requests

Social media promotion is only available for our current community partners. While preference is given to those who have signed up for social media promotions through the annual participation opportunities (starting in 2023), submissions can be provided year-round for consideration. Social media submissions and requests from the general public will not be approved or posted to credit union social media platforms.

Advertising Opportunity and Donation or Sponsorship Requests

You do not need to be a current Community Partner to submit the advertising opportunity and donation or sponsorship request; however, current Community Partners are included on the credit union’s list of preferred organizations for planned annual organizational giving.

Tennessee Members 1st Federal Credit Union is committed to making every effort to further our involvement within the community and its organizations. If you have an advertising opportunity and donation or sponsorship request, please submit the request using the form below in its entirety. TN Members 1st FCU marketing department will be notified and determine if there is the capacity to fulfill your request. A submission does not guarantee a donation/sponsorship request will be fulfilled.

You will be contacted by the marketing department to follow up and confirm or deny your request. Contact [email protected] if you have any questions. The credit union reserves the right to consider each donation request on a case-by-case basis, including any past or present relationships with the credit union, and reject any donation/sponsorship submissions at their discretion. The credit union will not consider incomplete requests or requests sent in with less than proper notification. A decision to deny a request does not imply that the applicant’s program is not needed or worthy, but simply that it does not fall within our giving guidelines and priorities, or that funds are not currently available.

Financial Education Event Request

You do not need to be a current Community Partner to make a Financial Education Event request; however, current Community Partners are included on the credit union’s list of preferred organizations for Financial Education Events.

In the event you need to cancel or rescind a request, please email [email protected]. Be sure to include all necessary event information so we can properly match the information on file with your request.

Participation/Outreach Opportunities

Throughout the year, TN Members 1st has a number of opportunities for our approved Community Partners to engage in events and activities to share their mission and work with credit union members and the greater community. When those become available, we’ll provide registration forms below.

Annual Participation Opportunities

Each year, a limited number of annual participation opportunities will be available exclusively to our community partners. Every fall, we’ll open up registration, giving all partners an extended period of time to select the opportunities they’d like to participate in.

  • The annual participation form is used to update contact information, verify the continued desire to remain a Community Partner, and sign up for annual participation opportunities.
  • If a current Community Partner does not complete the Annual Participation Form, verifying continued desire to remain a Community Partner, they will be retired as a Community Partner, with any organizational information removed from digital and in branch displays no later than January 5 of the upcoming year.
  • Opportunities are available at no cost to Community Partners. Community Partner participation provides consent for the credit union to take and share photos and videos and provide information to our members and community on the Community Partners we worked with and supported throughout the year.
  • A drawing will take place where demand exceeds availability.
  • After the last business day in November, annual participation opportunities for the upcoming year are available on a first-come, first-served basis. TN Members 1st FCU will keep an updated list of available opportunities on the Community Hub page of our website.
