Need help? Click the links below for additional information to help you get started using your digital wallet. Please keep in mind, TN Members 1st cannot provide technical support for programs that are not run and maintained by the credit union. While we will do our best to provide technical support to those adding their cards to Digital Wallet, in some instances, we may suggest contacting your Digital Wallet provider directly.
  • What is Digital Wallet?: A Digital Wallet is a payment tool that allows you to securely store a virtual version of your eligible cards. Members can enjoy a more convenient way to pay by adding their TN Members 1st debit card to their Digital Wallet!
  • What Digital Wallets are available for our members? Apple Pay and Google Wallet. At this time there is no plan to offer any other Digital Wallet options as Apple Pay and Google Wallet cover the two largest used mobile device operating systems.
  • What cards are eligible for Digital Wallet?: TN Members 1st Debit Cards.
  • I received a message that says I need to call 865-482-4343 to verify my card for digital wallet, what does that mean? If you receive a message that says to contact the credit union for verification before you can complete the digital wallet setup, don't panic! This simply means we need to verify your information before your card can be added to your digital wallet.
  • How do members enroll?: Depending on device operating system, members can navigate to the appropriate Digital Wallet app (Apple for Apple users and Google for Android users) and follow the prompts to add their card. For both apps, users will have the option to scan their card or enter the details manually. Specific instructions – and links to device-specific app user guides – are available above.

While we will do our best to provide technical support to users adding their cards to Digital Wallet, in some instances, we may suggest contacting your operating system Digital Wallet provider directly.
  • Will eligible cards work on wearable mobile devices like Apple Watches? Yes. As long as the card is an eligible TN Members 1st Debit Card, once a user has added it to their Digital Wallet, it can be used across devices – dependent on personal security settings – including wearables.
  • Can members add their TN Members 1st FCU Credit Card to Digital Wallet? At this time, TN Members 1st Credit Cards are not currently eligible for Digital Wallet.
  • Are Venmo, PayPal, CashApp, etc., and Digital Wallet the same thing? No. Digital Wallets are specifically for the storage of information. This could be payment information like your TN Members 1st debit card, a shoppers/rewards card, coupons, tickets, or even vaccine records. Venmo (and Cashapp, Zelle, PayPal…) is a third-party payment application that allows you to send funds from one place to another through connected financial information. Contact the credit union if you have questions about using your TN Members 1st accounts with third-party payment providers.

Travel Notices

If you’re planning for upcoming travel, make sure to contact the credit union before you leave so we can place a travel notice on your account and know to expect out-of-state charges on your credit and/or debit card. If we are unaware of your travels, it’s possible that your out-of-town card transactions could be flagged as potential fraud and declined.

Our Fraud Department actively monitors for potential instances of fraud and takes into consideration fraud trends, as well as states or countries with high cases of card fraud, when monitoring accounts.

You can place a travel notice by visiting your local branch, contacting us at 865-482-4343, or sending us a message in online or mobile banking. To let us know about your travel plans via digital banking:

  • Log in to online or mobile banking
  • Click ‘Messages’ and ‘Start a New Conversation’
  • Let us know the dates of your travel and the location you’re traveling to.
  • A Member Service Representative will follow up with you to let you know your travel notification has been received.
