Join us at our Oak Ridge Branch from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm on Wednesday, August 10 for Community Day!

We’ll be joined by our Community Partners for an afternoon of information, celebration, and fun! Stop by to learn more about some of the amazing organizations who serve our communities, sign up for door prizes, grab some giveaways, and eat lunch at the food trucks!


TN Members 1st FCU Door Prizes

Stop by the TN Members 1st table at Community Day to register to win! Door prize registration will be open from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm and TN Members 1st door prize winners will be drawn at random at 1:15 pm and do not need to be present to win. Available door prizes include Dollywood tickets and over $350 in gift cards!


Community Partners & Organizations Attending

Aid to Distressed Families of Appalachian Counties (ADFAC) began in the mid 1980’s as a local ecumenical effort to provide assistance to impoverished families. As the broad needs of the low-income community became evident, the faith-based collaborative moved to become a 501(c)(3) public charity in January, 1987. Over the years, ADFAC has honored its roots by developing a broad variety of programs designed to meet unfilled needs in the community and currently answers over 6,000 requests for assistance each year. Centro Hispano de East TN promotes empowerment and civic participation through education, workforce development, youth and family engagement, and community-strengthening initiatives. They are the leading resource both for East Tennessee’s Latino community and for East Tennessee regarding the Latino community. Click here to learn more.
The Free Medical Clinic provides no-charge primary and medical care for low-income and uninsured residents of Anderson, Morgan, and Roane Counties of Tennessee and for partners enrolled in their medical service program including Telehealth options, access to free or discounted medications, special medical programs, treatments, imaging, tests, lab work, and preventative care with annual physicals. Girls Inc. of TN Valley is the local affiliate of the National Girls Inc. nonprofit organization whose mission is to inspire all girls to be strong, smart, and bold and to teach girls to advocate for themselves as well as on behalf of their communities. We offer girls opportunities and education in STEM, economic and financial literacy, healthy mind and body, leadership and advocacy, and more! Remote Area Medical® – RAM is a major nonprofit provider of pop-up clinics with a mission to prevent pain and alleviate suffering by providing free, quality healthcare to those in need. RAM’s clinics provide free dental, vision, medical, and veterinary services to everyone, regardless of background, in an ongoing effort to fill healthcare gaps. Since its founding in 1985, RAM’s Corps of more than 172,900 volunteers – comprised of licensed dental, vision, medical, and veterinary professionals, as well as general support staff – have treated more than 863,700 individuals delivering more than $174 million worth of free healthcare services. Goodwin’s South of the River Food Truck – Goodwin’s South of the River is a family-owned business est. March 2018, and on the road since March 2020.

Knox Dough – Gourmet edible cookie dough scoops, rolled ice cream, milkshakes, and floats.
