Will there be a physical meeting location?

No, our 74th Annual Meeting will be held virtually using a Zoom virtual event space and there will not be a physical meeting location.

What is Zoom?

Zoom is a video communication platform that allows individuals to connect in a virtual space using audio and video capabilities.

Why does my statement insert say Annual Meeting is at a different time?

You may have received an insert with your statement, announcing the Annual Meeting and providing additional information, that states a different start time. This insert had to be printed and provided to our statement distributor before Annual Meeting details were finalized. The Annual Meeting will be held on Thursday, March 25 and start at 6:00 pm. The best place for up-to-date information on credit union events, activities, products, and services will always be mymembersfirst.org.

What if more than one person in my household is a member of the credit union?

If more than one member in the household will be attending the Annual Meeting, please register each member individually. This will allow us to enter all eligible primary members for prize drawings. You do not need to log in separately to view and attend the Annual Meeting. If you have more than one credit union member in your household attending the Annual Meeting and wanting to participate in the voting process, each member would need to be logged in to the meeting as an individual attendee. View the ‘Will we be voting on the nominations to the Board of Directors?’ question below for more information on voting.

Will I have to purchase or download anything?

There is no Zoom software purchase necessary to participate in the Annual Meeting and you do not need to create an account with Zoom to participate in the Annual Meeting. If you choose to participate in the Annual Meeting using your computer, tablet, or smartphone, you may be prompted to download the Zoom software to view the video feed from the Annual Meeting.

If you choose not to download the Zoom software, you can still participate in the Annual Meeting using the ‘For Telephone,’ directions provided when you receive your registration confirmation email. These instructions provide dial-in phone numbers that can be called from a landline or cellular device.

Whether you choose to attend the Annual Meeting by computer, tablet, or phone (landline or cellphone) you will be asked for additional meeting details in order to join the Annual Meeting, also found in your registration confirmation email.

When should I ‘arrive’ for the Annual Meeting?

Please join at least 5 minutes early to ensure volume and internet connection are clear. We suggest that members do not wait until March 25 to test their ability to connect to the Zoom platform.

  • If this is your first time attending a Zoom Virtual Meeting event, you can test your connection prior to attending the Annual Meeting here: https://zoom.us/test.

How do I participate in the Annual Meeting?

After you register for the Annual Meeting you will receive a registration confirmation email with additional information, including instructions on joining the meeting using a PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone, or Android device, as well as an option to dial in using a telephone.

Please note, your registration confirmation email will not come immediately after you submit your Annual Meeting registration. As Annual Meeting is a member-only event, all registrations are reviewed by Tennessee Members 1st FCU before registration confirmations are sent to members.

What if I have questions during Annual Meeting?

For any questions throughout the Annual Meeting please use the Q&A feature. To access the Q&A feature, just click on the Q&A icon in the conference control panel at the bottom of your Zoom virtual event screen. Any personal questions or account-specific questions will be addressed privately through Q&A. As a reminder, do not include any personally identifiable information, such as your account number or social security number, anywhere in the Zoom Virtual Event space. This includes the chatbox and Q&A feature.

Do I have to use a computer to participate in the Annual Meeting?

You do not have to use a computer to participate in the Annual Meeting. Your registration confirmation will include instructions on joining the meeting using a PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone, Android device, and telephone (landline or cellphone). Using a computer, tablet, or smartphone with the Zoom software will allow you to see and hear the Annual Meeting. Members choosing to only dial in by phone (landline or cellphone) will not be able to see the meeting video feed or have access to all participation options offered through the Zoom software.

Will we be voting during the Annual Meeting?

Yes, members will have the opportunity to vote on a number of items during the Annual Meeting. Voting will take place using Zoom Polling Feature. When the time comes to vote, you will see a poll box pop up on your screen. You will then select your answer in the poll box and hit the submit button. Your vote remains anonymous to other meeting attendees and will not appear on the screen for public view.  The Zoom poll box will only be visible if you have the live Annual Meeting presentation up on your computer or mobile device. If you have chosen to join the Annual Meeting using the dial-in by phone option and do not have a live view of the Annual Meeting presentation, you will not see the Zoom poll box. Additionally, the Zoom poll box only allows for one vote per attendee. If you have more than one credit union member in your household attending the Annual Meeting and wanting to participate in the voting process, each member would need to be logged in to the meeting as an individual attendee.
